We have new Loungefly! Clothes Show Live!

Well, just in time for the Clothes Show Live (which we begin setting up for tomorrow!) out delicious delivery of Loungefly delights arrived! Russian Dolls, Crowded Teeth lunchboxes and most excitingly...the new Alice in Wonderland and Snow White designs!

Well, with just one more batch to come before the entire winter range is here I know all you want is pictures so here you are!

Tomorrow we head off to the Clothes Show Live which means we're busy bunnies until next Wednesday. Orders made from 1pm today (Wednesday 2nd December) until 3pm Sunday will be dispatched on Monday, orders made after 3pm on Sunday will be dispatched on Thursday, so not too much of a delay and still plenty of time for Christmas gifties shopping! Ooh and the special Christmas packaging is back too!

If you're heading to the Clothes Show we're in the Offbeat Boutique area of the Purple Zone in Hall 6. We'll mainly be showcasing the Loungefly and it'll be at silly prices too with t-shirts at only £15, that's £10 cheaper than our competitors and £5 less than we normally sell them for! Bags and wallets will also be cheaper with lots of wallets £20 and under, that's up to £15 less and bags from only £30, some a massive £25 cheaper than greedy other stores!

Carnival Of The Strange & Plus Sizes!

So, we have a stand here at the weekend...

...courtesy of the lovely Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Girls. There's lots of fun stuff going on and our wares will be displayed as usual including all the new goodies from Loungefly and our other favourites!

We also had a fresh delivery from Sourpuss today, including their new XXL size which is a pretty decent size 18. Alongside the swallow dresses we have these guys are our newest plus size supplier, and we think it's about time too! These should be up on the site by the end of the week alongside some rather fit new jewellery that you'll struggle to find anywhere else and will very soon be displaying our favourite flash and images from our tattooist friends!

Coming in the next few weeks we have new Sailor Jerry, tattoo flash jewellery and Lowbrow Art Co so your Christmas needs should be well and truly covered!

Oh we do love it when our Loungefly orders arrive! Particularly when there's 9 big boxes of it and when the grumpy delivery man refuses to bring it up the stairs, it makes it all the more exciting!

Loungefly are teases, they send out their winter range previews in August and then we have to wait almost 4 months before it's ready. Dirty flirts!

Well, the first batch is here with new goodies from Crowded Teeth, Skelanimals and Nightmare Before Christmas alongside Loungefly's own delicious range. We're still waiting for the new Disney, Muppets and Kawaii goodies to come in, alongside more of the ranges we have already got but I think there's enough to whet your appetite!

We have also had a HUUUUUGE new delivery of Newbreed Girl t-shirts, giving us a much larger range than that generic high street store than has jumped on the bandwagon to take business away from independent traders! Ours are 1p cheaper too haha!

Girl-tastic!

Today we got some LUUUURVELY new dresses in along with a restock on the black swallows dress, or sparrows if you're in the US of A (although last I knew sparrows were brown!).

The ruffle and swallow dresses are made of gorgeous draping materials that flatter beautifully, with the Sailor Betty dress being a true bombshell knockout number..oh and did we mention that the swallow dresses are available up to size 20!

We also have two tons of cheapo Goodie Two Sleeves end of range t-shirts in - starting from just £9.99! Seriously! There are very limited designs and sizes and so get in there quick if you want to get your grubby mits on one!

On a technical boring note the debit cards function is now working on the website! After several months of solidly scouring the internet for solutions and tearing my hair out for answers it all pinged together tonight and I am pleased to annouce that we can now take your money off your hands in a new way! And just in time for Christmas too!

On the scary note of Christmas...if there are Royal Mail postal strikes around this time we will use a different courier to make sure your items get to you on time!

Shiny New Old Shop!

Well, I can honestly say that we've worked our bums off these last few weeks!

The smaller room of the Birmingham Beadesaurus shop was beginning to look a bit tired having not been decorated since we opened in June 2000, and with the pink room looking so fresh and swish we decided that it was about time we had a refit.

This was no easy feat, as any of you who have visited Beadesaurus know we have stuff EVERYWHERE! This meant having to completely gut the smaller room and remove all the bags, kitty plush and random bits that were all over the walls in order to gain access to them to paint and put up new fixtures. As well as painting and decorating we were shunting great chunks of furniture around and playing our favourite game...moving the glass cabinets full of jewellery, fun. Not!

We started early Sunday morning completely shifting all the shiftable items and painting, starting with a white undercoat to mask the minging orange and dirty blue combination. Rick got manly and chopped the bead shelf in half and moved it to the other wall and the counter got moved to the opposite side. We also put up lots of new 6ft meshing panels to hang our lovelies off. Phew.




Pie ended up with more paint on himself than on the walls!





Same time Monday we were back, this time painting the blue over the white and making the bead trays and counter a delicious shiny red. There was lots of loud drilling and more manly DIY activities.






Then on Tuesday the fun really started. We had to get all of the stock back onto the walls. This entailed unpacking all the boxes we'd put away full of Loungefly bags, Kitty goodies, laces, sale jewellery and adding t-shirts into the small room for the very first time. To top it all off we received a HUGE Hello Kitty delivery full of bags and plush (that will be up on the site next week, gimme a break, I'm tired!)









But it looks FIT. Now all we have to do it change the floor and lighting, most likely after Christmas when all the hubbub of Clothes Show and general Christmas stress is over.
